Is this bird a pullet or a roo? I am leaning toward roo because I think his tail feathers are looking rooish. Plus every other bird I have had with that basic color pattern has been a roo. The thing that make me wonder are, The legs are thinner than all of the other roos that age, and if this is a roo, he is a good notch smaller than the other roos in the bunch and even smaller than a couple of the pullets from that hatch.

What's his/her age? Are the neck and saddle feathers pointy? If they are, it should be a boy. I see what you're saying about those tail feathers looking a little too droopy and long to be a hens.

I would be interested to know if anyone has seen a color pattern like that on a hen. I have not, but I have seen it on 5 other roos!
