Pullets or cockerels?

    I hatched these chicks 17 days ago. Dad is a Black Copper Marans. Mom is an EE.

    #1: I'm 99.9% certain this is a cockerel

    #2: looks like it'll be a pea comb, so I'm not sure.

    #3:single comb. Bigger than #4, but smaller than #1.

    #4: also single comb. I'm fairly certain she's a pullet.

    i think the first one is going to be a roo and the rest are going to be hens but i am new to this so u might want to ask other people [​IMG]

    Still a bit young but #1 appears to be a roo, the rest are pullets.

    I tried feather sexing when they were 1-2 days old, and got 3 pullets, one rooster. I'd LOOOOOOVE for this to be true. I like that you guys are agreeing with my original assessment. I was worried with them being half EE that it would make it tougher to sex.

    I figure in another 2-3 weeks, we'll know for sure. I know my rooster was quite definitely a rooster by 5 weeks.
