Hey everyone, I was sold this dark Brahma at tractor supply and was told she was a girl. I also bought two other dark brahams and this one is significantly larger than the others, has been more aggressive/wanting to initiate fights to pretty much anyone. And pecks without being provoked. This one has also been slower to feather out and the feet are much larger than any of the other brahmas. Today I spotted some shimmery green feathering that I’ve circled. I’m starting to believe speckles is a boy. Even her feathers are more patchy/white instead of more pencilled like the other girls, but I thought dark Brahma Roos were supposed to be pure black?? Maybe this is a mixed Brahma? What are your thoughts? Speckles is 8.5 weeks old.
