why is my hens pulling each other tail feathers out

Either their bored or not getting enough protein. And also, a pecking order involves pulling feathers. Are they eating the pulled feathers? If so, then they aren't getting enough protein in their diet. Hope this helps.................

there eating laying mash mix with laying pellets i have a 5 gallon feeder and if i fill it 21 birds will empty it in a day so i fill it half way and i have a small 10 to 15 bird feeder i fill at the other end of the run so there not fighting over it the waterer is a 5 gal auto water and that is in tn a croner by it self there housing is a 4x8 coop i was put them all in at night but now its warmer i let them stay out if they want
