We have a 2 year old barred rock who stopped laying eggs about 4 days ago. She had been laying almost every day.
Yesterday she was out in the yard and was attacked by a fox. Luckily we got to her and the fox ran off. She had a small puncture wound which we cleaned and treated. It is healing up. Today I gave her some electrolytes and she ate a few small pieces of bread. She is still breathing pretty heavily, and she is pumping her tail. I am wondering if she is egg bound...? Or is it still the stress and shock? We have separated her from our other 2 chickens, she can still see them but they can't get to her. I am also wondering when to re-introduce them?
