pumpkin colored cochins

    has everyone hear or seen the pumpkin colored game chicken. well i want to know if anyone knows of a pumpkin colored cochin line. if not i would like to start my own. i need advise. never done this before.

    Do you mean like this color?? When you say pumpkin, your talking about the pumpkin hulsey game birds correct? This color kind of reminds me of them...

    i mean a true orange color. like a mix between a red and buff.

    you can get red cochins and buff cochins and cross them to see if you get something in between.

    I think I would try Partridge and Buff, I think that would be more like the games color - they are not unicolored, at least the roo aren't I have not seen any hens yet.....now you have got me thinking, I was going to get some Partridge cochin bantams any ways, mite as well get some buffs are give it a try.
