I've been reading that a few of you use pumpkin seeds for worm control. I've got a couple of things I'd like clarified if possible so I can give it a try.

- I presume I'd use raw pumpkin seeds, not the roasted pepitos, right?

- will any pumpkin seed work? Fresh, dried?

- and finally, do the seeds need to be chopped up or can they be eaten whole?

Thanks. I'm always looking for the more natural, less invasive ways of keeping my 4 girls and their handsome man healthy.

The part of the pumpkin seed that gets the worm is on the inside of the shell. I guess it would be the casing of the seed, it paralyzes the wormies and the digestive tract expels them. So they aren't dead when they come out, so you need to make sure that if you need to do cleaning up, it gets done......

I chop them up and give them to my birds raw.
