Pure breed

I free range my R.I.Reds & Golden Comets - Question , Sunday the Comet roo was caged and the Red roo released . How long before the Red hen's eggs will be pure ?

The usual rule of thumb is 3 weeks. Obviously it's a continuum, but to be on the safe side if 'pure' is really important to you then you should wait that long.

Thanks for the info ! My wife and I go to the chicken sale in Central,Ala. every Friday night and all to often barn yard chickens come thru. Their a mix of every thing....Thanks......jim....me
