putting chicks and ducks together...best way?

I have 29 chicks...bantam and standard sizes ages 1 to 3 weeks and 3 ducks that are 1 week old. They are in separate brooders currently but id like to put my larger chicks with the ducks to save some space in my chick brooder. They've been in my basement together(their brooders) so I am not concerned about them getting sick, I would just like to know the best way to introduce them? Just do it? Or maybe for a short while, then again later? Does it even matter? Evebtually they will all be in the same run so id like them to become aquainted before the move.

They are young enough so it should not be much of a proublem to just do it....BUT...Those ducks will make a huge mess in with the chicks.

I saw as long as they can see each other in their own brooders all should be fine once you let them out together.
