putting lucking in the coop

I'm going to put Lucky in hte coop with the other chickens tonight. Wish us luck. He is almost 9wks old and almost the size of the smaller hens. I keep saying he, but dh seems to think that he is a she. lol. Guess I'll just have to wait and see.
 
Good luck with Lucky. That is the same way we add newbies to the coop. At night is the way to go!

So far, so good with the other chickens. They only go over to try and see what he is doing. He keeps hiding from them. I have taken him out in the yard with a couple of our more friendly chickens and he was okay. I don't know that Lucky is a 'he'. It just ended up that way. With our luck, we have 2 roos and don't want another so it would end up being a he. Can't get rid of him, though. He's too cute!
 
Lucky is doing much better now, but is still acting scared of some of the other chickens. They don't really do anything to her, the will swak at her when she runs, swaking past them. lol.
