    I built the PVC feeder seen here and all over the Internet. A few problems arose;
    - when it rained the pellets got soaked
    - way. To much feed ended up on the ground
    To solve the rain problem I purchased a small eave flashing, $ .52 at Lowes. I bent it around the PVC and attached with three small machine bolts and nuts.
    To stop feed from getting flung on the ground I purchased a 3" test cap, cut it in half and glued it with PVC cement on the bottom half of the opening.
    Three weeks in and it appears this solved my problems.[IMG]

    I have something like this in one of my pens. The only thing I don't like about it is that I can't easily see how much food is in there. I have some ideas on how to fix that.

    Nice work! Do you leave it open at night? Or do you put a plug in it to keep other animals out?

    It's too cold right now for other city type critters to worry about. In the warmer months I may cap it at night
