Hello there and welcome to BYC! [IMG]

What do you mean...by color? Most of the New World quail like Bobwhites, Gambels and California's will lay white eggs, the Japanese Coturnix will lay a brown spotted egg and I think Button Quail also lay a spotted brownish egg.

Stop by our quail section for more help with your quail....https://www.backyardchickens.com/f/48/quail

Good luck and welcome to our flock!

Welcome to BYC! Glad you decided to join our flock. I'm a chicken person and don't know much about quail (although they sure are cute little birds), but definitely post on our quail link that TwoCrows left you with and take advantage of our experts there. Please feel free to ask any questions you may have. We are here to help in any way we can. Good luck in identifying your quail egg.

Sorry, I don't know much about quail, either! I would certainly go to the quail link.
