Quail has tumors

    I clean one of my female Japanese Protonix quail and it had these tumors inside it down the backbone here's a picture has anybody seen this before and know what it is[​IMG]

    No I took the egg out of her and then afterwards along the inside right on the backbone and even some smaller tumors look like tumors to me but they were all right on the spine

    Yes, but aren't there always more eggs developing??? I certainly could be wrong but that's how it looks to me. Best of luck to you and :welcome

    This wasn't in the egg tracking was attached to the spine or backbone. I don't know none of the other 4 birds had it in them

    Hi there, and welcome to Backyard chickens! Glad you could join us! I don't know much about quail, but I am inclined to think eggs as well. I hope you figure out what is going on with it! I hope you enjoy BYC as much as I have!
