I am getting 2 quails (button and common) i would be gratefull for any tips
Handle them a lot or they will go wild quickly.
How old are they?
I don't have buttons but this link should be helpful.
i have not gotten them yeat silly
Is it correctly understood that you are going to get two quail of different species?
If so, you should know it might not work to keep them together - if they haven't been kept like that where you get them from, I wouldn't even attempt it. And that some quail can become so stressed they actually die if kept alone for too long, so simply having them in each their cage might not solve the problem - they should have a friend of the same species. And for the coturnix, the friend should be of the same sex as well, as a male shouldn't be kept with a single female.
Other than that - make sure you have a high protein (around 24 % should do) feed for them, and that the size of the feed is small enough for the button to eat. And if they are females, give them ground oyster shell for extra calcium.
Thanks, i will listen to all your replies
