We recently got 6 jumbo courtnix a few weeks back. The man we purchased form said his lay in 5 weeks, ours are 8 weeks old and still nothing. We are in Texas and have supplemental lighting from as soon as it gets dark to 8 (Around 13 hours). We have them on Purina game bird (19% protein). We also live in a suburban neighborhood, so dogs barking is not unusual. I don’t think this would stress them to the point where they do not lay. Any suggestions?

Sounds normal to me. My previous quail didn't start until 9-11 weeks old. It isn't always what they say. Quail don't follow their descriptions to the point.

Welcome to BYC!!! :wee

I will post a picture of the bird on this thread tomorrow

I am in Texas and I raise quail.
Can I see a picture of the exact feed bag that you're feeding?
