Definitely a question involving supply and demand. I can't get more than maybe $1 for a day-old to 2 week-old chick. 5 to 6-week-olds sell for $2 to $4 depending on color.

Again he asked SoCal, which i'm in. $5 per chick. Wanna talk about $25 for a 25LB bag of gamebird feed too?

Yep I'm just used to paying double for feed and chicks, also the native quail here are protected (state bird) so no one hunts for them.

I think of them like I do prime rib or fillet mignon, a pricy delicatsy for romantic dinners. Besides i'd be the size of a house if I ate gouda-stuffed bacon wrapped quail weekly.
