Question about Blue Seal Game Bird crumbles for meat birds

Hi--I came across a feed store that sells Blue Seal's Game Bird starter/grower crumble. It is unmedicated, 22% protein and has animal fat in it. Blue Seal said this could be fed from hatch to butcher weight. My questions are :

Is 22% protein too high?

After reading various threads and other forums I know that animal protein is needed for chickens (being the omnivores that they are). The ingredients for the Game Bird feed say animal FAT, not animal protein. For protein it says "Plant Protein Products". Does this sound okay?

I don't see why not. I don't think gout will be an issue if you are butchering at 8 weeks anyways. Best of luck.
