I've called the local feed stores here. They don't have DE. One guy didn't even know what it was. Can you order it online?

check out Jeffers Livestock - they sell it online (when they say "organic" that's ridiculous - all DE is organic)

Randall Burkey chicken supplies and Earthworks Health both sell it online. Google either company or google DE(spelled out) and you'll get a bunch of hits.

Check closely how much they charge for shipping. A 50lb bag usually costs more to ship than the bag itself. I did find 5lb bags of food grade DE somewhere online and shipping was much more reasonable.

Quote:If I were you I would try harder [IMG] to find a feed store that sells it. I bought a 50# bag at my feed store for $23.00.
I have seen small amounts on line for MUCH MORE.
Maybe drive to a neighbor town or ask folks who have horses where they buy it. Heck, maybe you could ask your local feed store to ask their feed supplier about it and tell them about all the virtues associated with it. [IMG]

If you look up PermaGuard's website, they will give locations where it can be purchased. Perhaps there will be one near you. Much cheaper than buying online.
