I've been asking this question a few times but can't get an answer. Here goes I have hot wire around the coop & run with automatic pop door. Pop door opens in the am chickens go out in the run will the chickens be OK with the hot wire . I've been turning the hot wire off before the door pops open so they wont get fried but seems like that's defeating the purpose. Whats the correct procedure? Thanks 7L

    On the MN prairie.
They should be fine. If they touch it they may get a shock, but it shouldn't "fry" them if you're just using a regular livestock fencer.
