I was considering getting the food grade DE for the chicken coop....and was wondering how long a 3# bag might last me. I have a 4'x6' coop and 6 hens. Any thoughts before I purchase from another member would be helpful!

I'm not sure how long a 3# bag would last. I buy it by the 50# bag and the first bag I bought last year (in June) probably has 15 - 20 pounds left in it.

At this time, we have 36 chickens of varying ages (from almost a year old down to 5 week old chicks).

    Hope this is some help!

I will add DE to their feed and spread it in the hen house and inside the pen mostly under their roost. It goes a long way.
