Hi everyone! I’m in the process of integrating my eight week old with the remainder of my flock. I’m going to start let them staying in the coop area with the big girls unattended seeing as how they all get along extremely well. My question is I’m concerned the little ones are going to eat the layer feed instead of the chick feed. Does anyone have any ideas about this?

From what I've read, as I haven't had to do integrations of different ages yet is to feed an all flock or grower with a calcium supplement on the side for your layers as the calcium in a laying feed would be more harmful to the growing chicks than the extra protein would be for the adults. You can also put the layer feed out of reach, if possible, for the younger one but the rest of the flock will more than likely get into that feed anyways. Hope that helps! Best of luck!
