I got a bunch of chicks from a couple of different farmers. One had only sex links. I thought I had a carmel colored sex link, but then he started RIR red feathers on his neck, so I think its a boy, but today I noticed that his wing feathers were curved in a little. Is it possible to get a frizzle when it is not possible that a frizzle was a parent? Is there such a thing as a sex link frizzle? I will try to get a pic tomorrow.

Hmm, that's interesting. I would keep an eye on it and see if the upward feathers continue. Any breed can be frizzled so keep us posted!

No, I think that's just a feather defect.

She's not a frizzle

All her feathers have laid flat now. She still has curled wings, but looks nothing like a frizzle. I guess she was just going through a rough teenage feather phase.

Well guess frizzles came about because of a feather mutation. Yours just may have her own individual feather mutation going on :-)
