Question about grower & layer?

I have 16 week pullets, they are not laying yet. I ran out of grower,( plus my big 'ol hens steal their food) Does it hurt the hens that they eat it? Should I get another bag or just feed them layer? I just don't want to waste food

It won't hurt the hens, they just won't get the extra calcium. Make sure they have access to calcium and i think they will do fine. I would keep the younger ones on grower until they start laying. If it's in the middle of a bag just mix the leftover with the layer until it's gone. You won't waste it that way. Good Luck
