Question about hatchery chicks

Silkies from a hatchery may not have as good of genetics as you may find at a local breeder. Sometimes you will get undersireable traits in regards to feathering, size, etc. I would try finding a breeder who shows silkies on BYC or another website so you can pick and choose the best looking ones.
