I'm in the process of hatching some gorgeous Wheaten FCM. This is my first experience with this color and I know that the roos look much different than the hens. The first two that hatched are both a beautiful cream color. But one has two little streaks of black on top of his head. Does this indicate the gender at all? One way or the other? From what I've read, I should be able to tell the gender when the wings start to come in a few weeks from now. Just curious if this means anything. I have 8 more eggs waiting to hatch and a little beak cheeping out of a hole in one of them. So fascinating!!!

the roos are darker with more black. you have to wait till at least 1 week old with feathers starting in wings good before you can sex them. Best of luck to your hatch!
