Question About Peepers

I have some pecking going on in my flock and I've tried everything except for peepers. I was wondering if the peepers that utilize a pin to hold them in place are more painful for the chicken than what they call "pinless peepers". Thanks in advance!

Update: I've decided to use C clips as apposed to the pins, but now I have a new question, how do you put the C clips on?

Warm them in hot water to soften the plastic, and then stretch them over the beak. I think I saw someone on here had posted a picture and how to article. Try searching.

Also, try to figure out WHY they are pecking each other. If you don't fix the real problem, the peepers will have to stay on forever.
