I have a question for those more experienced than I with making pies from scratch. I have finally learned how to make a great pie crust, but I hate cooking, so I'm not one to experiment. But with bake sales occurring regularly now, I'm wondering: Can you make a bunch of little pies using a cupcake pan, rather than one regular pie? Has anyone done this with success? Did you change anything, such as temp or baking time? Or is there an easier way to make mini pies? I'm thinking of empanadas and those little pies at McDonald's, maybe that shape? We have a hiking challenge coming up, so I'd like to make something that can be eaten and carried without a plate or fork. And, well, I like pie!
