Question about Production Blacks

our local Feed store will have production black and reds soon. Are they sex linked? Even with the 90% pulley guarantee I have gotten some roosters in the past. I am tired of rehomimg them. I want a pulley guarantee. So I am looking at sex links. I also want good egg layers. Any experience with these?

Production Blacks or Production Reds are just marketing names, they really don't tell you a lot about the individual birds. Different hatcheries can use them for different birds.

Those chicks come from some hatchery somewhere. Ask at the feed store which hatchery they come from, then call the hatchery and ask them if those specific birds are sex linked or if they are vent sexed. Don't trust what the feed store tells you about them. Some feed store employees are fairly knowledgeable about chickens and breeding but some are not.
