Question about splayed legs on keet

I have a keet who hatched 5 days ago with splayed legs.
We hobbled him with a piece of band-aid almost immediately and he was up and moving well.
He's continued to get around as well as the others, had to look for the hobble to find him.
So I removed his hobble tonight. It seems he is still splayed, kind of duck-walks.
Did I remove the hobble too soon ? Should I retape and give it a few more days?
I've searched the forums and read other sites for info but haven't found info on how long to treat.
Will he manage in life if this is the best we can get his legs to do?
Thanks for any advice.
Also, of the 11 that hatched, 2 have solid brown caps on their heads where the other 9 have stripes.
Is this significant ? (Both parents are pearls.)
Thanks.
