Question about the meat breeds....

    If the broiler breeds have health problems when they live beyond their 12 weeks (or whatever the magic number is) how do hatcheries keep them alive and well to breed in the gigantic numbers needed? I've heard these larger breeds have heart and leg problems....

    Because the Cornish Cross are hybrids. Their parent birds are not Cornish Cross.
