I have asked this on ss site but no response
I am moving into a mobile home in June. Because SC is getting real snow for the first time since 89 I want to be prepared after I move. This mobile home is in the country and would prob take a couple of day to restore power if we had a snow storm as opposed to where I live now in the city and would take a matter of hours.
This mobile home was built in 1985. It has a fireplace of some sort. I am thinking this fireplace was intended for gas or propane. However before I purchased it the previous renters had the nerve to tear down an entire brand new 30ft x 10ft porch and rip out all the lower kitchen cabinets to burn in the firplace (that was intended for propane) and burned it normally. I dont trust that. I am wondering since there is an existing space could I insert a wood burning insert in its place. The roof was origainlly shingled but now has metal over the shigles.
Any help is thanked
