question about wyandott roo and silkie girls

Hi all, I havent been on here for a long time but have a question that I know someone here can answer....

Is a wyandott roo too big for my silkie girls...a friend gave me one of her silver streak wyandott roos... my concern is will the chicks that may develop be too big for the egg shell of a pulett egg...is this a stupid question...I worry that the chicks wont have room in their egg...I know people everywhere have mixed breed flocks with hybrid babies... is my concern valid????

I've seen a barred rock successfully breed with a silkie. Poor silkie..

How big is your rooster? I would test this out and hatch your largest eggs. I don't see a problem. I've had standard birds mate bantams. Chicks hatched no problem.
