Is there any way to tell the gender of brahma chicks as they are growing up? I have 7 4 week old chicks and was trying to figure out which were boys and girls.

The pullets tend to feather out more evenly. Cockerels tend to feather slower on their shoulders, have a more upright stance, a little stouter legs.

Cool so if I was looking for boys they would be the ones that had feathered wings but their back and shoulders were less feathered and more fluff right? I am hoping that since most of mine are all the way feathered that they are all girls then with only 2 or 3 boys. Do boys tend to grow faster or slower than girls?

Sounds about right

i was thinking that i had some weird birds when i had a couple batches of a dozen at a time with non feathered backs... but watching i found they were ALL males! ugh, Learn by Doing

I checked the kids this morning and it looks like I have 4 girls and 3 boys since three of them still have bare shoulders, they are also smaller than the girls too
