Question for parents of school aged children

    Hi Parents,
Have any of you offered to incubate chicks in the classroom? How old were your children? As they grow older, what projects can we do?

I have a kindergarten aged girl. I feel like incubating at home would be fine for her but maybe not her teacher and classmates at this time. The teacher has her hands full and some kids are not mature enough to understand not to squeeze the chicks or about failure to hatch. I know I have many years(also have a 2yro) to think about these type of projects. I also need to start my own flock again for highest chance of success for hatching eggs instead of shipped eggs. I would just enjoy hearing about other parents experiments. We live in a rural community so I would be willing to give the hatched chicks to other students.

    Thanks!
