Question from a newbie to ducks about a broody Muscovy

I have a Muscovy who has gone broody and is setting on about a dozen eggs....her first nest (and mine

)!
My question is this: The color on her beak and head has gotten noticeably lighter...is this normal, or is there something I should do for her?
