question, I have a broody silkie

My silkie had 5 eggs she was sitting on. She hurt her leg so i brought her in to watch her and make sure she was able to return to her nest. Today she only has 4 eggs. Is it possible that she ate one. I cant find in anywhere and it is impossible for it to have fallen out of cage. I have been taking her out daily to make her walk so her leg is exercised so i am wondering if she is upset and eating her egg to keep it from what she may presume as predators.

They will sometimes eat their own eggs, otherwise rats and snakes and possums and skunks like eggs.

It's hard to say, have you candled them to see if they are developing, and you need to make sure when she gets off the nest she gets enough high quality feed.
