Question of the Day - Wednesday, October 22nd, 2025

-Pride and Prejudice (the one with Colin Firth)
-All Creatures Great And Small (surprised no one’s mentioned this one yet.)
-Shaun The Sheep
Probably some others I’m forgetting…

Dad’s Army
Keeping Up Appearances
Are You Being Served
Grace and Favour
On the Buses
Open All Hours
Inspector Morse
Rosemary and Thyme
To the Manor Born
Doctor in the House (and all the other “Doctor” shows that ran after these)
Foyle’s War
The Doctor Blake Mysteries
Agatha Christie’s Poirot (David Suchet series)
Sherlock Holmes (Jeremy Brett series)
Some of the Midsomer Murders

No, I am not British.
They were just genius at making shows back in the day.

They still are, but nowadays there is so much to choose from, that I rarely look twice anymore. Normally I don't even want to see episodes twice, but my husband doesn’t mind and sometimes I watch along.

Some of these, some episodes. ^^
Like Morse, Poirot, Keeping up appearances, ..
Others: Allo Allo, Dalgliesh. Monty Python.
Scandinavian crime series are often good enough to see twice too, like Martin Beck (the original is better than the English series).
