    Hello,

My little chicks got out of the yard today. Luckily, my neighbor saw them and penned them up until I got home. She put in the pen a saucer of cracked corn though and I don't know if that could cause problems. So far they've been on the Medicated Chick Crumble only.

Do I need to provide them something in case they ate some of it?

    Thank you for your help.

p.s. I fixed the hole so they can't get out again, too!

Hi, you could give them some sand with pebbles in it for grit to help them digest the corn. Chick crumbles don't require grit but other hard foods do. [IMG]

Thank you for the reply. Do I need to use any special sand/pebbles, i.e. should I go to the feedstore, or is stuff from the back yard ok? We don't use any chemical fertilizers.
