I am a newbie and this is my first chick order. I ordered from Cackle Hatchery in January for delivery of chicks in April. Has anyone out there had experience with Cackle? Are they dependable about e-mailing prior to delivery? If you ordered from Cackle did they send you the breeds you ordered? Did the order come in the time frame you asked?
I filled out their order form in January because on the web site it indicated the earlier the better so they hatch the proper amount of birds requested. Also on the order form it asked when I would like deliverery and I said anytime in the month of April. So they are not late -- I am just anxious since this is my first time as a chicken momma. I ordered 30 chicks; 5 of six different breeds. A friend is splitting the order with me.
