I have been fighting with some sick birds (Lost another this weekend, but I think I have the upper hand now) and I noticed that the last 4 to die with the same symptoms all came from the same source. I have gotten 5 groups of chickens this year (18,7,6,6,6) I am now left with (17,7,6,5,2). All are now in the same coop, are seem to be doing well.

Should I inform the owner of the chickens that have had the highest casualty rate or not. I am not looking to lay blame, or anything of that nature. Is it my responsibility to inform the person I got them from of the issues I have had and risk hurt feelings, or just keep to myself.

Thanks,

Chris

perhaps you can just mention that you are not having good luck with their birds.
There are some diseases that chickens can be carriers of, and not get it or die themselves.
You may have a carrier and be bringing healthy chickens into a problem.
Do you know what disease they died of?
