New Gal here
I'm from Texas, I have no idea what chicken showing is nor how to do it. In May I will be getting some 'show quality' Black Australorps, and a few Golden Sex Links. If they are 'show quality' -And I will post pictures when they get here, and as they mature- Now, on that same note, I already have an Americauna hen who will hopefully be very excited to have some fellow laying friends, and several Claret chickens I recieved from my uncle years back.
I have 47 Clarets, four of them are roosters.
One Americauna Hen aka Piggy who I will post pictures of tomorrow when the sun is up. A Golden Sex Link / Americauna chick, Ducky, who is daughter of Piggy and Earl. Earl was a GSL rooster, who unfortunately had to become food because he was mixing with my game birds and attacking/fighting them all the time.
aannnddd a few crosses from where the hens sat on Piggy's
Back on the showing issue. If I start showing chickens, I have to start small of course, where do I go to find information on Black Auster shows? Or chicken shows of any kind? I was also thinking of investing in a few Crested Black Polish Chickens, but I only know of getting them from hatcheries because they are a rare bird. Does anyone have any suggestions or any Texans out there would be willing to help me find shows?
Thanks from
