Question: This is my first time growing paprika peppers. Do they turn red on the plant? Or do they turn red as you dry them?

I know this has nothing to do with Chickens or Egg’s, but I do like paprika on chicken.

Also is this true? Is Paprika just a red bell pepper?
I got this information from a search on growing paprika peppers;

Paprika is a lovely red spice, often also called a seasoning that is made from dried bell peppers. When red bell peppers are dried, they are ground into tiny particles, making paprika.

I bought 2 plants and they are not red bell pepper.

Any pepper will turn red on the vine as it ripens - picking a bell pepper when it's green just stops that process. If you leave a bell pepper on the vine it will redden (and turn sweeter).

I think the peppers used for paprika are anothr variety, but I don't see why you couldn't allow bell peppers to ripen to red then pick and dry for paprika. The flavor might be different than the packaged paprika you are used to.

Thank you very much 2DogsFarm.
