Is there any way to tell the age of a Emu?

once they are breeding age (3) I think it becomes rather impossible. er improbable. I assume mine are all 4ish since they started breeding last november. Chickenzoo?

Thanks for the response! The lady I got them from said she had them 2 years and they were big when she got them. When I got them Their feathers were a lighter greyish color now they are turning a darker blackish brown? I was curious if that was a indication. I have had them since March this year. I am looking for eggs but haven't found any.[IMG] They are male and female one booms and one growls:)

I don't know a way either....... you may be able to tell a very old bird from a middle age one.... but telling an exact age or such is unknown to me. Wish they had teeth like horses....... umm... scratch that idea. [IMG]
