i know this is strange, but whats a DH?
don't worry, I asked the same question! It's "dear husband." You'll also see DD (dear daughter), DS (dear son) - etc.

yep, and dw is "dear wife"! lol

I had the same problem. Here are some of the abbreviations and their meanings:
DH=Dear (most times) Husband
DD=Dear Daughter, Dear Dad
DM=Dear Mother, Dear Mom
BIL=Brother in Law
SIL=Sister in Law
MIL=Mother in Law
FIL=Father in Law
BOSS=Black Oil Sunflower Seed
POL=Point Of Lay
NSQ=Non Show Quality
CBOF=Cantankerous Bag Of Feathers
JBG - Jersey Black Giant
SLW - Silver Laced Wyandotte
BLRW - Blue Laced Red Wyandotte
CM - Cuckoo Marans
GPH - Gold Penciled Hamburg
OEG - Old English Gamebirds
in some cases it also could be "dumb husband'
The "D" in any of them is subject to the mood of the writer. The tone of the post will tell you.
And here all this time I thought it was "devoted"!
I guess it could be "darling", or "dorky" or "dingbat" or.... what else?
