Being this close to Easer, we have plastic eggs out with our decorations. I'll put two of them under her for a while and then some chicks. Thank you everyone for your advice!! I'll let you know how it goes!

your lucky im still waiting on her to lay ... she could be laying and i just don't know it because i get a couple of white eggs so i have no clue if shes laying but i never see her go near the nest boxes so i think notI also live in a cold area, my silkies are around 9 months old. My 2 partridge started laying first about 2 months ago. They layed for a month and went broody. My black silkie layed her first egg 2 weeks ago and immediately went broody. My buff was last to lay about a week ago.
My broody and her chicks I snuck under her during the night at 4 days old. They are now 2 1/2 weeks all doing great.
