questions about duckling

I recently bought a duckling to go with our chicks,I don't know how old he is but he's just a tiny thing, he's loosing hair on the bottom of his chin and I dont know why, he's also like gagging- opening his moth then like grinding his bill. Is any of the normal?

Can you post a picture of the feather loss, and maybe a video of the "gagging" behavior so we can see exactly what you're talking about?

Does the duckling have food and water available at all times? Ducks absolutely must have water available when there is food around, otherwise they can choke. Also, they need water deep enough to dunk their whole face into so they can clear out their nares and eyes.
