I have switched Cas to a blend of horse hay and Timothy hay as bedding for the winter, as continuing to wash his mats outside won't be a possibility much longer. He enjoys it but he also eats it. Any problems with him eating a bit of his bedding? For feed, he's now on Mazuri waterfowl pellets and gets a nightly salad of chopped kale, romaine, peas and cucumber. Just checking that a little hay won't hurt. Yes, he has free access to grit too. Thanks!
