I'm still getting used to raising chickens, so please excuse my ignorance on the subject. I'm sure everyone is aware of the recent "1000 Year Flood" to hit my great State, and it's been absolutely horrible for the families and individuals in parts. My flock was laying well throughout the rains and crazy temperature fluctuations, but now that it's sunny and warm, as the Carolinas usually are this time of year, my hens have suddenly stopped laying altogether! We've checked the coop and run throughly after cleaning from all the water and fixed any holes caused. They've been on the same scheduled feeding times and diet (my wife has snuck some mealworms out from time to time) and always have clean fresh water. I'm considering molting but have not a clue how early it can start. Any advice is greatly appreciated. Thanks for looking.
