Ok why isn't my buff orpington laying she is at least 4 months?
Can you make a hen go broody? Fake eggs etc?
Why did our cayugas stop laying?
Should I seperate a hen if she goes broody?
I know this prob isn't right thread

Your buff orpington is too young to start laying. Actually with the short days she may wait until spring to start.
A hen will go broody when SHE is ready. Allowing a hen to build up a clutch may hasten the process.
Your Cayuga will start laying in the spring.
Either arrange so that other hens can't bother her or move her carefully to a 'private' pen.

Good luck with raising some chicks in the spring.

Thanks our Swedish ducks are laying but our two cayugas stopped. Is four drakes to many four seven hens we don't have any probs but they arent a year yet so yeah. Also Is it bad that are chickens are sneezing there is a lot of mucus. Also I read in a magazine that buffs have a low laying rate. But I don't think they do
