Quick! Food substitute ideas!

My duck food delivery was supposed to be here three days ago and keeps getting delayed. They swear it will be here today but my ducks as of this morning are out of food. I just need to supplement them until the delivery gets here. They are foraging in my yard but I'm worried that that's not enough. Oats and peas? Vegetarian dog kibble? What would be the best thing just to tide them over?

for just one day some scrambled eggs and veggies should work, any longer they’d need to have duck feed though

Cook them some eggs, a bit of cat/dog food (not much, it's the wrong vitamin profile). Bread might not be ideal, but for a few days it'd balance out the eggs.

Thank you all so much. If it doesn't come today we will be able to get to a local feed store for some lower quality duck food this evening so it's just something to tide them over for the day. My husband's at work all day and I'm healing from shoulder surgery so I can't drive to get some food earlier

You can add cat food to eggs and veggies, normal bird seed can be added as well. They will be able to get a lot of good stuff in the grasses and bugs.

I on a regular basis add cat food, and oats. The cheaper stuff seems to work well. I got the idea to keep it in my regular duck diet from Stories Guide to Ducks
